How It Works Under the Hood.

How long does it take to generate a video?+

Most videos are ready within 5–15 minutes of generation being triggered. Generation happens asynchronously — Clipmerce queues the job and notifies your dashboard when it's complete. You don't need to wait or stay on the page.

Does Clipmerce post using my TikTok account directly?+

Yes. We use TikTok's official Content Posting API v2 — the same integration method used by verified social management platforms. Posts appear on your TikTok profile as native content with your account name, not as third-party reposts.

Can I choose which products get turned into videos?+

Yes. By default, all active Shopify products enter the generation queue. From your Products dashboard, you can archive individual products to exclude them from generation and posting. You can also manually trigger regeneration for any product at any time.

What happens when I add a new product to Shopify?+

Clipmerce picks it up within 6 hours via automatic sync — or instantly if you trigger a manual sync from your dashboard. A video generation job is queued immediately, and the video enters your posting schedule once it's ready.

Can I pause posting without losing my queue?+

Yes. Your queue persists when you pause. Pause from the Schedule page, and every video that was queued stays in place. Resume at any time and posting picks up exactly where it left off. Pausing does not reset your next scheduled post time.

What timezone does Clipmerce use for scheduling?+

Your local timezone — configured during onboarding and adjustable from your Schedule settings at any time. Peak posting windows (6–9 AM, 12–2 PM, 7–9 PM) are calculated relative to your timezone, not UTC.

What metrics does the analytics dashboard show?+

Views, likes, comments, shares, and engagement rate per published video. Metrics are pulled from the TikTok API once every 24 hours and stored in your dashboard. The dashboard shows a 7-day rolling total and your top 3 performing videos for the month.

How does video recycling work?+

When your video library has been fully cycled through, Clipmerce begins re-publishing older videos — with a minimum 30-day gap between repeat posts. From your audience's perspective, it's a fresh video. From your dashboard, recycled posts are labelled so you always know what's going live.
